Last Christmas-Ashly Tisdale

Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year, to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special

Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year, to save me from tears
I’ll give it to someone
I'll give it to someone special

Once bitten and twice shy
I keep my distance, but you still catch my eye
Tell me baby, do you recognize me?
Well it's been a year, it doesn't surprise me
Happy Christmas

I wrapped it up and sent it
With a note saying "I love you", I meant it
Now I know what a fool I've been
But if you kissed me now, I know you'd fool me again

Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year, to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special

Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year, to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special
Special
Yea yea

A crowded room, friends with tired eyes
I'm hiding from you, and your soul of ice
I thought you were someone to rely on
Me, I guess I was a shoulder to cry on

A friend to discover with a fire in her heart
A man under cover but you tore me apart
Now I've found a real love, you'll never fool me again

Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year, to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special

Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year, to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special

Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year, to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special

Will it be bad if I admit that thsi is one of my favorite Christmas songs? Lame of me, I know.

I'm still looking for an awesome version of this song. The original is good, but weird. Taylor Swift's (as much as I love her) bugs me, as does HIllary Duff's. This is by far the best versioni vocal wise, but the "lala, lalala! lala, lalala!" certainly doesn't make the song sound any better... but it will do for now.

Enchanted-Taylor Swift

LYRICS
Here I was again tonight forcing laughter, faking smiles
Same old tired, lonely place
Walls of insincerity
Shifiting eyes and vancancy vanished when I saw your face
All I can say is it was enchanting to meet you

Your eyes whispered "have we met?"
Across the room your silhouette starts to make it's way to me
The playful conversation starts
Counter all your quick remarks like passing notes in secrecy
And it was enchanting to meet you
All I can say is I was enchanted to meet you

This night is sparkling, don't you let it go
I'm wonderstruck, blushing all the way home
I'll spend forever wondering if you knew
I was enchanted to meet you

The lingering question kept me up
2am, who do you love?
I wonder till I'm wide awake
Now I'm pacing back and forth, wishing you were at my door
I'd open up and you would say,
It was enchanted to meet you
All I know is I was enchanted to meet you

This night is sparkling, don't you let it go
I'm wonderstruck, blushing all the way home
I'll spend forever wondering if you knew
This night is flawless, don't you let it go
I'm wonderstruck, dancing around all alone
I'll spend forever wondering if you knew
I was enchanted to meet you

This is me praying that this was the very first page
Not where the story line ends
My thoughts will echo your name until I see you again
These are the words I held back as I was leaving too soon
I was enchanted to meet you
Please don't be in love with someone else
Please don't have somebody waiting on you
Please don't be in love with someone else
Please don't have somebody waiting on you

This night is sparkling, don't you let it go
I'm wonderstruck, blushing all the way home
I'll spend forever wondering if you knew
This night is flawless, don't you let it go
I'm wonderstruck, dancing around all alone
I'll spend forever wondering if you knew
I was enchanted to meet you

Please don't be in love with someone else
Please don't have somebody waiting on you

Taylor Swift's new album was released the other day. This would have to be one of my favorite songs from the album. ::)

(sorry about the bad quality ::\ )

Stuttering-Fefe Dobson

I did not mean to find this song. I was listening to "Love Like Woe" by The Ready Set (good song, btw) and I couldn't help but notice the little trademark "J-J-J-J-J-J-R" at the beginning. Curious, I did a Google search and found out that J. R Rotem is a music producer who specializes in all those funky beats you hear in pop music. "Stuttering" was at the very bottom of the list of songs and looked rather lonely so I gave it a listen. Now I-I-I-I can't stop st-stuttering. ((Oh-Oh-Oh-Oh-Oh E-E-E-E-E-E Oh-Oh-Oh-Oh-Oh-Whoa!))

Funny the Way it Is-Dave Matthews Band

This used to be my favorite song at this time last year. It really makes you think. "Somebody's heart is broken and it becomes your favorite song."

Long Shot by Kelly Clarkson

The lyrical genius of Matt Theissen and Kelly Clarkson's voice: What more can we ask for?

I felt it, the wire touched my neck
And then someone pulled it tighter
I never saw it coming, I started to black out
And then someone said good morning
I took it as a warning
I should have seen it coming
So now I'll take a chance on
This thing we may have started
Intentional or not, I don't think we saw it coming
It's all adding up to something
That asks for some involvement
That ask for our commitment
I think I see it coming
If we step out of that limb

My heart beat beats me senselessly
Why's everything got to be so intense with me
I'm trying to handle all this unpredictability
In all probability

It's a long shot, but I say why not
If I say forget it, I know that I'll regret it
It's a long shot just to beat these odds
The chance is we won't make it
But I know if I don't take it, there's no chance
'Cause you're the best I got
So take a long shot

I realize that there is all this starting
Things we're both scared about
That we'll never see them coming
Throw caution to the wind
And we'll see which way it's blowing
And to this pulling on
We'll never see it coming
Until it's much to close to stop

My heart beat beats me senselessly

Why's everything got to be so intense with me
I'm trying to handle all this unpredictability
In all probability

It's a long shot, but I say why not
If I say forget it, I know that I'll regret it
It's a long shot just to beat these odds
The chance is we won't make it
But I know if I don't take it, there's no chance
'Cause you're the best I got
So take a long shot

Oh I waited for fact to come of fiction
And you fit my description
I never saw you coming
But we'll make it

It's a long shot, but I say why not
If I say forget it, I know that I'll regret it
It's a long shot just to beat these odds
The chance is we won't make it
But I know if I don't take it, there's no chance
'Cause you're the best I got
So take a long shot

There's no chance, there's no chance
'Cause you're the best I got
It's a long shot but I say why not
If I say forget it I know that I'll regret it
It's a long shot just to beat these odds
The chance is we won't make it
But I know if I don't take it
It's a long shot but I say why not
Oh you never saw me coming

Babylon-Don Mclean

By the waters,
The waters,
Of Babylon.

We lay down and wept,
And wept,
For thee Zion.

We remember,
Thee remember,
Thee remember,
Thee Zion.

This song is based off of Psalm 137 "Sorrow and Hope in Exile"

By the rivers of Babylon we sat and wept
when we remembered Zion.

There on the poplars
we hung our harps,

for there our captors asked us for songs,
our tormentors demanded songs of joy;
they said, "Sing us one of the songs of Zion!"

How can we sing the songs of the LORD
while in a foreign land?

It's a very tragic and eyrie scenario and this song, I think, does it justice. It has such a stunningly beautiful sound! This recording is of a live version, it isn't very often that the live version is better than the studio version but this is a remarkable exception. The performance was recorded in Manchester in 1979 and the audience are truly amazing singers! They bring alot of heart into the lyrics!!

Discombobulate-Hans Zimmer

Oh dear. ♥ ^.^ Nothing could be better than this song. So intense. So exciting. Can't you just feel the adrenaline???

Good movie too. Seriously. If I was a monkey, I would give it 4 thumbs up.

You and Me-Lifehouse

Words cannot describe how much I l o v e this song! It's one those songs that you can't help but smile to :) And yes I know it is sappy and corny but whenever I hear the chorus my heart is flying through the clouds. :P Lifehouse sounds soooo amazing in their slow songs, anyone who agrees with me can I get an "amen"? lol Enjoy!

Misguided Ghosts, Paramore

Lyrics:
(1,2,3,4)
I'm going away for a while
But I'll be back, don't try and follow me
'cause I'll return as soon as possible
See I'm trying to find my place
But it might not be here where I feel safe
We all learn to make mistake

And run
From them
With no direction
We'l run from them, from them
With no conviction

Cause I'm just one of those ghosts
Travelling endlessly
Don't need no roads
In fact they follow me
And we just go in circles
Well now I'm told that this life
And pain is just a simple compromise
So we can get what we want out of it

Someone care to classify,
A broken heart and twisted minds
So I can find someone to rely on

And run
To them, to them
Full speed ahead
Oh you are not
Useless
We are just
Misguided ghosts
Travelling endlessly
The ones we trusted the most
Pushed us far away
And theres no one role
We should not be the same
But I'm just a ghost
And still they echo me
They echo me in circles

This song paints a beautiful picture in my mind. Just the idea of "misguided ghosts." It's so sad and so beautiful.

Gravity-Sara Bareilles

lyrics:
Something always brings me back to you.
It never takes too long.
No matter what I say or do I'll still feel you here 'til the moment I'm gone.

You hold me without touch.
You keep me without chains.
I never wanted anything so much than to drown in your love and not feel your rain.

Set me free, leave me be. I don't want to fall another moment into your gravity.
Here I am and I stand so tall, just the way I'm supposed to be.
But you're on to me and all over me.

You loved me 'cause I'm fragile.
When I thought that I was strong.
But you touch me for a little while and all my fragile strength is gone.

Set me free, leave me be. I don't want to fall another moment into your gravity.
Here I am and I stand so tall, just the way I'm supposed to be.
But you're on to me and all over me.

I live here on my knees as I try to make you see that you're everything I think I need here on the ground.
But you're neither friend nor foe though I can't seem to let you go.
The one thing that I still know is that you're keeping me down.

But you're on to me, on to me and all over me.

Something always brings me back to you.
It never takes too long.

This song is so gorgeous. I first heard it today and I think I've listened to it at least 10 times. She has such a beautiful voice (that you might recognize from "Love Song") and it's just a very simple song and just so full of emotion.

Which to Bury, Us or the Hatchet-Relient K

Lyrics-
I think you know what Im getting at
I find it so upsetting that
The memories that you select
You keep the bad but the good you just forget

And even though Im angry I can still say
I know my heart will break the day
When you peel out and drive away
I cant believe this happened

And all this time I never thought
That all we had would be all for none

No, I dont hate you
Dont want to fight you
Know Ill always love you
But right now I just dont like you
No, I dont hate you
Dont want to fight you
Know Ill always love you
But right now I just dont like you
Cause you took this too far (too far)

Make your decision and dont you dare think twice
Go with your instincts along with some bad advice
This didnt turn out the way I thought it would at all
You blame me but some of this is still your fault

I tried to move you, but you just wouldnt budge
I tried to hold your hand but youd rather hold your grudge
I think you know what Im getting at
You said goodbye and I just dont want you regretting that

No, I dont hate you
Dont want to fight you
Know Ill always love you
But right now I just dont like you
No, I dont hate you
Dont want to fight you
Know Ill always love you
But right now I just dont like you

And wisdom always chooses
These black eyes and these bruises
Over the heartache that they say
Never completely goes away
(I just cant believe this happened and one day well see this come around)
And wisdom always chooses
These black eyes and these bruises
Over the heartache that they say
Never completely goes away

No, I dont hate you
Dont want to fight you
Know Ill always love you
But right now I just dont like you
No, I dont hate you
Dont want to fight you
Know Ill always love you
But right now I just dont like you
Cause you took this too far (too far)

What happened to us
I heard that its me we should blame
What happened to us
Why didnt you stop me from turnin out this way
And know that I dont hate you
And know that I Dont want to fight you
And know Ill always love you
But right now I just dont

This is one of Relient K's more angsty, emotional songs. I, myself, am a huge fan of it because I absolutely l o v e to pick songs apart, trying to figure out exactly what the artist is talking about. I've had alot of fun with this song.

"Boston" by Augustana

This song is p e r f e c t for a rainy day like today. The piano instrumental at the beginning is so beautiful, and filled with emotion. I love the movement of this song, it starts out slow then reaches a crecendo at the bridge (with a wicked guitar solo, no less!) and then ends with the piano yet again. This song is great to listen to when you're down. It's a great pick-me-up :)

Boston. Where no one knows my name.

Taylor Swift-Mine

Since Katherine never post (you're in trouble, btw....), ya'll are getting more country (albeit popish country).

Mine is Taylor's newest single and one of my favorite songs by her.
Along with this post I will include a link to an article by my mom's friend and editor, Danielle Bean. She says what I am thinking more eloquently than I ever could--at least not in the amount of time I am willing to spend writing a blog post :).

Oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh

You were in college, working part-time, waiting tables
Left a small town and never looked back
I was a flight risk, afraid of fallin'
Wondering why we bother with love, if it never lasts

I say, "Can you believe it?"
As we're lyin' on the couch
The moment, I can see it
Yes, yes, I can see it now

Do you remember, we were sittin' there, by the water?
You put your arm around me for the fist time
You made a rebel of a careless man's careful daughter
You are the best thing that's ever been mine

Flash forward, and we're takin' on the world together
And there's a drawer of my things at your place
You learn my secrets and figure out why I'm guarded
You say we'll never make my parents' mistakes

But we got bills to pay
We got nothin' figured out
When it was hard to take
Yes, yes

This is what I thought about:

Do you remember, we were sittin' there, by the water?
You put your arm around me for the fist time
You made a rebel of a careless man's careful daughter
You are the best thing that's ever been mine

Do you remember all the city lights on the water?
You saw me start to believe for the first time
You made a rebel of a careless man's careful daughter
You are the best thing that's ever been mine

Oh, oh, oh, oh

And I remember that fight, two-thirty AM
You said everything was slipping right out of our hands
I ran out, crying, and you followed me out into the street

Braced myself for the goodbye, cause that's all I've ever known
Then, you took me by surprise
You said, "I'll never leave you alone."

You said, "I remember how we felt, sitting by the water.
And every time I look at you, it's like the first time.
I fell in love with a careless man's careful daughter.
She is the best thing that's ever been mine."

You made a rebel of a careless man's careful daughter
You are the best thing that's ever been mine

Do you believe it?
We're gonna make it now
And I can see it

I can see it now

All Your Life by The Band Perry

This song describes me to a "t". I know what I want in life. I want to be a mother who homeschools her many children and has a husband who loves her all her life.

I just want to be the only girl, You love all your life.

Would you walk to the edge of the ocean
Just to fill my jar with sand
Just in case I get the notion
to let it run through my hand, Let it run through my hand

Well, I don't want the whole world,
the sun and moon and all their light
I just want to be the only girl,
You love all your life, You love all your life

Would you catch a couple thousand fireflies , yeah,
put them in a lamp to light my world
all dressed up in tux and bow tie
and delivered to a lonely girl, to a lonely, lonely girl

Well, I don't want the whole world,
the sun and moon and all their light
I just want to be the only girl,
You love all your life, You love all your life

Lately I've been writing desperate love songs,
and mostly singuing them to the wall
You could be the center piece of my obsession,
If would noticed me at all

Well, I don't want the whole world,
the sun and moon and all their life
I just want to be the only girl,
You love all your life, You love all your life
You love all your life, life, yeah

Believe-Skillet

This is Skillet. There a Christian band that sings hard music. T'is a band that I never used to like because of the "scream-o-ness' (this really isn't even screamo compared to other things). In this past year I have greatly broadened my taste/tolerence of different musics. Like country music. For a while there I was one of those people that go "COUNTRY! EWWWWWWW!!!" But some of my favorite songs now are country. Same goes for this band right here. This is probabaly my favorite song by them. I love the sound and it's just really intense and full of emotion.

This is not a song.

This blog post isn't a song. But it is epic.

I am here to bring you great news. News about another blog that is co-run by me and Ella. Click. Basically just random things written by the two of us. Check it out! ::)

Heartache Tonight by Michael Buble

I'm posting this because who hasn't felt heartache?! Plus the beat is infectious and Michael Buble has a beautiful, theatrical voice.

Somebodys gonna hurt someone
Before the night is through
Somebodys gonna come undone
Theres nothin we can do
Everybody wants to touch somebody
If it takes all night
Everybody wants to take a little chance,
Make it come out right

Theres gonna be a heartache tonight,
A heartache tonight, I know
Theres gonna be a heartache tonight, I know.
Oh, lets go..

Some people like to stay out late
Some folks cant hold out that long
But nobody wants to turn back now
Theres too much goin on

This night is gonna last forever
Last all, last all summer long
Some time before the sun comes up
The radio is gonna play that song
Theres gonna be a heartache tonight,
A heartache tonight, I know
Theres gonna be a heartache tonight,
A heartache tonight, I know
Oh, lets go..

Theres gonna be a heartache tonight,
The moons shining bright

So turn out the light, and well get it right
Theres gonna be a heartache tonight,
a heartache tonight I know
Heartache baby,

Somebodys gonna hurt somebody
Before the night is through
Somebodys gonna come undone,
Theres nothin we can do
everybody wants to touch somebody
If it takes all night
Everybody wants to take a chance
To make it come out right, right, right

Theres gonna be a heartache tonight
A heartache tonight, I know
Theres gonna be a heartache tonight,
A heartache tonight, i know
Oh, Lets go..

We can beat around the bushes
We can get down to the bone
We can leave it in the parkin lot,
But either way, theres gonna be a
Heartache tonight, a heartache tonight I know
Theres gonna be a heartache tonight
A heartache tonight I know

September-Daughtry

How the time passed away all the trouble that we gave
And all those days we spent out by the lake
Has it all gone to waste?
All the promises we made,
One by one they vanish just the same.

Of all the things I still remember
Summer's never looked the same
The years go by and time just seems to fly
But the memories remain.

In the middle of September we'd still play out in the rain
Nothing to lose but everything to gain
Reflecting now on how things could've been
It was worth it in the end

Now it all seems so clear, there's nothing left to fear
So we made our way by finding what was real
Now the days are so long that summer's moving on
We reach for something that's already gone

Of all the things I still remember
Summer's never looked the same
The year's go by and time just seems to fly
But the memories remain.

In the middle of September we'd still play out in the rain
Nothing to lose but everything to gain
Reflecting now on how things could've been
It was worth it in the end

We knew we had to leave this town
But we never knew when we never knew how
We would end up here the way we are
Yeah we knew we had to leave this town
But we never knew when and we never knew how

Of all the things I still remember
Summer's never looked the same
The years go by and time just seems to fly
But the memories remain.

In the middle of September we'd still play out in the rain
Nothing to lose but everything to gain
Reflecting now on how things could've been
It was worth it in the end

Good bye summer 2010. We love you, miss and will always remember you! ♥

Hello September.

At Home(Homeschool Rap)-JaladK

Lyrics:
We were at the library one day, readin books
Some public school kid was watching us, shootin looks
He came over and said, "you guys are so bizarre
Homeschooling always gives you a huge social scar
You're so antisocial, that you probly have no friends
You're such major dorks and you never follow trends
You guys are so nerdy look at what youre readin
Everything I see you do makes my eyes start bleedin"
We laughed at the hater and his ignorance
Then we broke it down with our lyrical brilliance
"Hey now man, why ya bein such a jerk
Listen now cause we gonna make you go berserk"

Oh, this is how we do it at home (at home) Yeah, You public school kids, we always own (always own) Oh, this is how we do it at home (listen son) And were about to show you how its done (how its done)

Homeschooling doesnt make you socially damaged.
We've got so many homies they can hardly be managed.
Now you say our clothes are practically illegal
Well check it out yo theyre from
American eagle We think that cursing makes you sound like a dope
If we did wed get our mouths washed out with soap
Our mom is our teacher, our dad our principal
They taught us all we know from the Holy Bible
And if you think were lame, hillbillies and such,
Well check it right here I got an iPod touch.
If you think were strange, well listen to this....
Thats actually kinda' true

Oh, this is how we do it at home (at home)
Yeah, You public school kids, we always own (always own)
Oh, this is how we do it at home (listen son)
And we're about to show you how its done (how its done)

We wake up in the morning, a little past twelve,
And straight into our school we begin to delve.
We start with physics, the sciences you see
And on certain days we go to BCC
We eat when we want, and snack as we please
IF we need a break we can take one with ease
Public school kids stick to the middle of the curve
While home schooled kids to the right we often swerve
For homeschoolers academics are a breeze
We always get good scores on the SATs
So, dont be hating on the home school family
We deserve respect, and Im sure you now agree.

Oh, this is how we do it at home (at home)
Yeah, You public school kids, we always own (always own)
Oh, this is how we do it at home (listen son)
And we just went and showed you how it done (how its done)

This song is in honor of all my homeschool buddies. Why yes, we do rock.

A Drop in the Ocean by Ron Pope

I will let this wonderful song speak for itself. <3
A drop in the ocean
A change in the weather
I was praying that you and me might end up together
Its like wishing for rain as i stand in the desert
But i'm holding you closer than most,
Cause you are my heaven.

I dont wanna waste the weekend
If you dont love me, pretend a few more hours, then its time to go
As my train rolls down the east coast I wonder how you keep warm
Its too late to cry
To broken to move on
And still i cant let you be
Most nights i hardly sleep
Don't take what you dont need from me

Its just a drop in the ocean
A change in the weather
I was praying that you and me might end up together
Its like wishing for rain as i stand in the desert
But i'm holding you closer than most,
Cause you are my heaven.

Misplaced trust and old friends
Never counting regrets
But a grace of god i do not rest at all
In new England as the leaves change
The last excuse ill claim, i was a boy who loved a women like a little girl
And still i cant let you be
Most nights i hardly sleep
Dont take what you dont need from me

Its just a drop in the ocean
A change in the weather
I was praying that you and me might end up together
Its like wishing for rain as i stand in the desert
But i'm holding you closer than most,
Cause you are my,

Heaven doesnt seem far away anymore no no
Heaven doesnt seem far away
Heaven doesnt seem far away anymore no no
Heaven doesnt seem far away

A drop in the ocean
A change in the weather
I was praying that you and me might end up together
Its like wishing for rain as i stand in the desert
But i'm holding you closer than most,
Cause you are my heaven.

You are my heaven

Twisted Every Way, "The Phantom of the Opera"

"We Have All Been Blind"

Raoul: We have all been blind and yet the answer is staring us in the face.
This could be the chance to ensnare our clever friend.

Firmin and Andre: We're listening. Go on.

Raoul: We shall play his game, perform his work, but remember we hold the ace.
For if Ms. Daae sings, he is certain to attend.

Firmin/Andre: We are certain the doors are barred.
We are certain the police are there.

Raoul: We are certain they're armed.

Firmin/Andre/Raoul: The curtain falls, his reign will end.

"Twisted Every Way"

Christine (speaking): Raoul I'm frightened. Don't make me do this. It scares me.
Don't put me through this ordeal by fire.
He'll take me. I know. We'll be parted forever. He won't let me go.
What I once used to dream, I now dread. If he finds me it won't ever end.
(singing)
And he'll always be there singing songs in my head.
He'll always be there singing songs in my head.

Raoul: You said yourself he was nothing but a man,
yet while he lives he will haunt us 'til we're dead.

Christine: Twisted every way, what answer can I give?
Am I to risk my life to win the chance to live?
Can I betray the man who once inspired my voice?
Do I become his prey? Do I have any choice?
He kills without a thought. He murders all that's good.
I know I can't refuse, and yet I wish I could.
Oh God, if I agree what horrors wait for me, in this, the Phantom's opera?

Raoul: Christine, Christine don't think that I don't care,
but every hope, and every prayer rests on you now.

"Seal My Fate"

Phantom: Seal my fate tonight. I hate to have to cut the fun short.
But the jokes wearing thin, let the audience in, let my opera begin.

-------------------------------------

If you know me, you probably know that my favorite movie is The Phantom of the Opera. It's just such a beautiful story. "Twisted Every Way" has to be my favorite song in the whole film. (starts at 1:08. I couldn't find a video that didn't include "We Have All Been Blind") I just love the way she sings it, and the lyrics. It's just so beautiful.

Happy Together-Simple Plan

Here you go momma! Happy song!

This song, "Happy Together," has been remade a few times. It's originally by The Turtles. For some reason, the Beatles decided to remake the song, even though both versions of the song sound the same to me . . .(not a Beatles fan myself). In 2003, Simple Plan rocked the song out for the Disney movie starrig Lindsey Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis.

I, myself, can't really decide which version of the song is better, while I appreciate the rocker touch to the newer song, and it is more my taste, the original has more charm.

She Will Be Loved-Maroon 5

Beauty queen of only eighteen
She had some trouble with herself
He was always there to help her
She always belonged to someone else

I drove for miles and miles
And wound up at your door
I've had you so many times
But somehow I want more

I don't mind spending every day
Out on your corner in the pouring rain
Look for the girl with the broken smile
Ask her if she wants to stay awhile

And she will be loved
And she will be loved

Tap on my window knock on my door
I want to make you feel beautiful
I know I tend to get so insecure
It doesn't matter anymore

It's not always rainbows and butterflies
It's compromise that moves us along, yeah
My heart is full and my door's always open
You come anytime you want

I don't mind spending every day
Out on your corner in the pouring rain
Look for the girl with the broken smile
Ask her if she wants to stay awhile

And she will be loved
And she will be loved
And she will be loved
And she will be loved

I know where you hide alone in your car
Know all of the things that make you who you are
I know that goodbye means nothing at all
Comes back and begs me to catch her every time she falls, yeah

Tap on my window knock on my door
I want to make you feel beautiful

I don't mind spending every day
Out on your corner in the pouring rain
Look for the girl with the broken smile
Ask her if she wants to stay awhile

And she will be loved
And she will be loved
And she will be loved
(Please don't try so hard to say goodbye)
And she will be loved

Please don't try so hard to say goodbye
Please don't try so hard to say goodbye
(I don't mind spending every day)
(Out on your corner in the pouring rain)
Please don't try so hard to say goodbye

This song is so bittersweet :') About a guy who is so loyal to a girl, who has had emotion hardships. However the relationship would never work as she "always belonged to someone else." This is an anthem for all the guys who could never get the girl (Phantom anyone?)

Red Eyes-Switchfoot

Lyrics:
what are you waiting for,
the day is gone?
I said I'm waiting for dawn

what are you aiming for
out here alone?
I said I'm aiming for home

holding on, holding on

with red eyes
What are you looking for?
with red eyes
red eyes

all of my days are spent
within this skin
within this cage that I'm in

nowhere feels safe to me
nowhere feels home
even in crowds I'm alone

holding on, holding on

every now and then I see you dreaming
every now and then I see you cry
every now and then I see you reaching,
reaching for the other side
what are you waiting for?

This is without a doubt my new favorite song in the absolute WHOLE wide world. It didn't take long for it to wrap itself around my heart. I first heard it . . .late saturday night and since have probably listen to it a million times and even drew a picture inspired by it. It's a very relatable song in the saddest, but most beautiful way.

About A Girl-The Academy is...

Lyrics:

One song about a girl
Can't breathe when I'm around her
I'll wait here everyday
In case she'll scratch the surface
She'll never notice

I'm not in love
This is not my heart
I'm not gonna waste these words
About a girl

WOO!

Last night I knew what to say
But you weren't there to hear it
These lines so well rehearsed
Tongue tied and overloaded
You'll never notice

I'm not in love
This is not my heart
I'm not gonna waste these words
About a girl.
I'm not in love
This is not your song
I'm not gonna waste these words
About a girl.

To be loved, To be loved
what more could you ask for?
To be loved, To be loved
everyone wants
To be loved, To be loved
what more could you ask for?
To be loved, To be loved
Everyone...
I'm not in love
This is not my heart
I'm not gonna waste these words

I'm not in love
This is not my heart
I'm not gonna waste these words
About a girl

I'm not in love
(To be loved, To be loved, what more could you ask for?)
This is not your song
(To be loved, To be loved, everyone wants)
I'm not gonna waste these words
(To be loved, To be loved , what more could you ask for?)
About a girl.

Let me just start by saying, I think I am the only person I know that liked this song the first time they heard it. Honestly. Everyone I know that I have forced to listen to this song was like "Oh that's so stupid." (in fact the only reason I ever heard this song is by my little sister saying "I hate that song that's like "I don't love you! This song isn't about you!") Some of those people stubbornly keep that opinion while others have learned to love it like I do. I suppose this is just one of those songs that you either love, or don't. It is sorta angsty, but I tend to lean towards music like that.

Plus it reminds me about Fish. ♥

Dear Vienna-Owl City

Lyrics:
I regarded the world as such a sad sight
Until I viewed it in black and white
Then I reviewed every frame and basic shape
And sealed the exits with caution tape
Dont refocus your eyes in the darkness
And dont remember this place unless
I describe all the things that you cannot see
And well unravel the mystery

Farewell, all my friends in textbooks, Im going home
Cuz my blood cells cannot depend on the weather in photographs
Theres a light show out my window somewhere way up there

Dear Vienna, are you singing?
Dear Vienna, are you swinging?
Dear Vienna, we were happy like the shades of May when we got carried away

I regarded the world as such a sad sight
Until I viewed it in black and white
Then I reviewed every frame and basic shape
And sealed the exits with caution tape
Dont refocus your eyes in the darkness
And dont remember this place unless
I describe all the things that you cannot see
And well unravel the mystery

I was so far out of place
Watching those stars in outer space
Cuz I am so far from where you are

Theres a light show out my window somewhere way up there

Dear Vienna, are you singing?
Dear Vienna, are you swinging?
Dear Vienna, we were happy like the shades of May when we got carried away

I used to dislike this song. It took me awhile to learn to appreciate it. And now I can safely say it is my very favoritest song. There are s o many deep lines amongst the lyrics, but my very favorite part is "I was so far out of place/watching those stars in outerspace/cuz i'm so far from where you are" ♥

Song About Love-Charlie McDonnell

Lyrics:
This is a song about love, and not a very good one
I don't know enough to tell you about heartbreak
But I know it's there, and you can avoid it
By listening to your head
Which is just what I've done, and it isn't perfect
But look what I've done instead, instead of falling for you

I've never really been in love and that is fine by me
I'll sit at home and refine the person I want to be
'Cause I'm still young and not prepared to waste my time
On chasing girls who are yet to fully form their minds
And I know that there's a woman waiting, but she's not a woman yet
So I'll wait, and make sure I don't do something I'll regret

This isn't just about love, 'cause that's just one pixel
Of the image I'm speaking of, the one of the relationship
That we share, it's much more important
That I learn to like you too
Though I guess before that, it's probably vital
That I try to look for you, at least look for me

I've never really been in love and that is fine by me
I'll sit at home and refine the person I want to be
'Cause I'm still young and not prepared to waste my time
On chasing girls who are yet to fully form their minds
And I know that there's a woman waiting, but she's not a woman yet
So I'll wait, and make sure I don't do something I'll regret

I could tell you that I love you all you want till I'm dry
But I can't force myself to love you so why should I even try
I'll have to wait, and hold my chin up, and plug away at other things
Until she comes

And I know that there's a woman waiting, but she's not a woman yet
So I'll wait, and make sure I don't do something I'll regret

This is Charlie. Charlieissocoollike. He lives in england and has a british accent. He makes youtube videos like this one. He's quite popular in the youtube world. A friend showed me this video one day and I was like "Hahaha that's so awesome!" Since then I have seen manymanymany Charlieissocoollike videos, but this one, in my humble opinion is the best. He has alot of cool songs like "A Duet With Myself" and "A Song About Acne." He also has a band. But, out of all the Charlie songs, this one has to be the best.

Sally's Song-Amy Lee

Sally's Song is originally from the movie "The Nightmare Before Chirstmas." It is a tragic song about the conflictions that come with love :( Amy Lee from the band Evenences does a wonderful job remaking the song.
