With Arms Wide Open--Creed

Lyrics:
Well I just heard the news today
It seems my life is going to change
I closed my eyes, begin to pray
Then tears of joy stream down my face

With arms wide open
Under the sunlight
Welcome to this place
I'll show you everything
With arms wide open
With arms wide open

Well I don't know if I'm ready
To be the man I have to be
I'll take a breath, I'll take her by my side
We stand in awe, we've created life

With arms wide open
Under the sunlight
Welcome to this place
I'll show you everything
With arms wide open
Now everything has changed
I'll show you love
I'll show you everything
With arms wide open
With arms wide open
I'll show you everything ...oh yeah
With arms wide open..wide open

If I had just one wish
Only one demand
I hope he's not like me
I hope he understands
That he can take this life
And hold it by the hand
And he can greet the world
With arms wide open...

With arms wide open
Under the sunlight
Welcome to this place
I'll show you everything
With arms wide open
Now everything has changed
I'll show you love
I'll show you everything
With arms wide open
With arms wide open
I'll show you everything..oh yeah
With arms wide open....wide open

Hey, this is Lenore. I'll be stopping by every once and awhile with a song and a little insight, haha :)
I recently rediscovered this song. It has always struck me as beautiful. Not many songs on the secular radio stations have a pro-life message, but this is an amazing exception. It talks of the awe a man feels once he realizes he is to be a father. Such an uplifting song about embracing life "with arms wide open"!

It's a beautiful song. :) After Tristan was born, my mom made a montage with pictures of him, a lot of them from his week in the NICU, to that song. :'-) It absolutely destroyed all the other moms that follow her blog. XD

It is?!? Huh. THAT'S AWESOME! I thought it could be applied in so many ways to so many things, but it's cool to know that this is the real message =) My favorite song... evah!
